Phovia Light Therapy

Phovia Light Therapy is a non-invasive and gentle light therapy designed to accelerate skin regeneration and healing in pets. By using a special combination of fluorescent light and a topical chromophore gel, Phovia Light Therapy penetrates each layer of the skin to stimulate cellular activity beneath the surface. This process enhances the body’s natural healing response—reducing inflammation, encouraging new cell growth, and speeding up recovery time.

Phovia is especially helpful for dermatological concerns like

  • Surgical Incision
  • Fistula (an abnormal connection between two body parts)
  • Pyoderma (pus-filled lesion from a bacterial infection)
  • Sores
  • Open or traumatic wounds
  • Other scratches
  • and more!!

Treatments are quick, painless, and well-tolerated by most pets, making it an excellent option for those needing extra support in their skin healing journey.

How Phovia Light Therapy Works:

Phovia uses a unique dual-component system: a blue LED light and a topical chromophore gel.

Phovia uses a LED Lamp, which emits blue, low-energy light. When it makes contact with the chromophore gel, it converts the blue light into different wavelengths of light which allows each layer of skin to be stimulated for recovery!

This process, called photobiomodulation, stimulates cellular activity in each layer of skin —enhancing tissue repair, reducing inflammation, and promoting faster healing. The chromophore gel allows for more targeted, deeper stimulation than the blue light alone would be able to achieve.

Chromophore Gel

The chromophore gel used with Phovia Light Therapy is a pink/salmon colored gel that is a unique topical photo converter– meaning it helps the body convert the light into a broader spectrum of fluorescent light wavelengths. Without the chromophore gel, the blue light would only reach the surface layers of the skin, limiting the depth and effectiveness of Phovia Light Therapy. Once applied to the skin, the gel works immediately when activated by the light. The gel can leave a pink stain on your pet’s skin for a few days, but it is non-toxic and safe, so there’s no concern if your pet licks the area after treatment!

Thanks to the gel’s ability to convert light into a form the body can actually use at a cellular level, Phovia provides targeted and efficient skin healing!!
